The positions currently available are

Jakarta-based positions:

Senior Business Analyst

Handling all Planning activities, Economics, and Business Anlysis for existing Hess assets as well as any prospective assets or projects.

University or Masters Degree in Finance or Engineering with 7-10 years experience in oil and gas operations with at least 3 years upstream experience.

Onshore Project Control Engineer

Provide project control engineering support for Phase 2 Ujung Pangkah Development in onshore, East Java.

University or Masters Degree in Engineering with 7-10 years experience in oil and gas operations with at least 3 EPCI project involvements.

Project Interface and Cost Engineer

Provide project interface and cost engineering support for Phase 2 Ujung Pangkah Development both onshore and offshore.

University or Masters Degree in Engineering with 7-10 years experience in oil and gas operations with at least 3 EPCI project involvements.

Operations Production Engineer

Focal point for Operations Production Engineering support to field operations. Optimise production and report performance to senior management, business partners and government. Build well intervention capabilities into operations group, monitor and maintain well and associated platform facilities integrity. Provide operations input to future field development and well design.

A Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering, preferably Petroleum with minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas operations, subsurface or completions environment

Gresik-based positions:

Gas Plant Manager

Adhere to Operating Principles at all times to promote flawless execution of all activities including managing the safety and welfare of the Pangkah Onshore Processing Facility personnel and all equipment.

A Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum with 20 years in Oil and Gas experience in multitask level from Petroleum Engineering, Drilling, Oil and Gas processing, Finance and Procurement Project and EHS.

Plant Process Engineer

Provide Process Engineering advice and support to maximize the offshore and onshore operations’ efficiency. Recommend appropriate upgrades to improve plant performance.

A Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 years experience in oil and gas operations.

Plant Mechanical Engineer

Provide Mechanical Engineering advice and support to maximize the offshore and onshore operations’ efficiency. Lead reliability improvement projects and maintenance programmes for Mechanical equipment.

A Bachelor or Masters Degree in appropriate engineering discipline with 3-8 years in oil and gas operations, facilities and maintenance experience essential and minimum of 3 years working with rotating equipment

Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Provide technical support to field maintenance team(s) in instrumentation and electrical equipment and systems maintenance, improvement and modifications. Provide service in engineering and design of instrumentation and electrical systems. Specify equipment for related construction and modification projects. Strong background in DCS preferable.

A Bachelor or Masters Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 years experience in oil and gas operations.

General Affairs Supervisor

Provide General Affairs and Employee Service function in Onshore Processing Facility and Gresik Office.

A Bachelor degree in an Accounting/Finance, Business & General Management/Administrations is preferable, minimum of 7 years in either Finance/Accounting, Procurement, General Administration and Office role preferably in a multinational oil and gas company, with supervisory role experience.

Technical Writer

Job Purpose:

Provide centralized expertise in Technical Procedure Writing in support of RGEE (RasGas Elements for Excellence) and Business Expansion. Research, analyze, develop, write, update and edit Operation and Maintenance Procedures and Manuals in time and with extreme accuracy and quality assurance. Work closely with Operations and Maintenance departments to develop the required documents. Assist in achieving compliance and continued development of practices and procedures to support RasGas RGEE / ISO systems, or equivalent, relating to operational assets. Perform related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:
• Technical Diploma in Engineering from recognized University or College; experience in Technical Writing; or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language.
• Able to logically visualise the steps to operate the plant safely based on the process documentation
• Total of ten (10) years of minimum experience is required out of which minimum five (5) years varied experience of Technical Procedure Writing for process plants; preferably in oil and gas industry; or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of database; Microsoft packages; and drawings development tools (eg. Visio, CAD computer-aided design).
• Good at collecting, analyzing, verifying and handling technical information.
• Principles and practices of composing and editing informational material.
• Sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9000 Series); or equivalent

1. University degree in Engineering/ Business Administration or related subject.

Primarily a continuous presence site position, should be able to ID all the maintenance requirements for a work order or activity and compiling these activities into a detailed schedule that can be incorporated in the master schedule.

Identify your skills and recognize their value

Tell me about yourself.
That is usually one of the first things that an employer will say in an interview. What he/she is really asking is what qualifies you for this position. Your response will set the tone for the rest of the interview, so your best bet is to prepare your answer in advance.

Think of your answer as a 60-second commercial in which you sell yourself. Know the job description for the position you are going for and tailor your comments to match. Your script may vary slightly depending on the position, but the foundation will always be based on your skills.

Assess yourself.
The first step in composing your commercial is self-assessment. To get started, it may help to review your resume. Look at the jobs that you have held and decide what skills you used for each.

Make a list of at least ten of your strengths and skills. Use active words that reflect what you have done. Include both job specific skills, such as your ability to use a computer, and your "soft" skills, such as your ability to organize or your attention to detail.

Evaluate how each of your skills will be useful to the position you are seeking. Decide which seem most relevant. Write them down. These will be the basis of your commercial.

Compose your message.
Now, you are ready to put your commercial together. It will help to write down exactly what you want to say, so that you can practice and be sure not to miss any major points.

Start with a brief introduction of yourself. Include your name and your usual line of work. Then, state what position you are seeking. This part may vary depending on the interview. Next, you will get into your skills. Start with your job skills and work into your "soft" skills.

Sell your experience.
Employers are interested in what you have done. Use action words to tell them. They are clear, concise and direct – all strengths that impress employers in an interview. Strong words include:

Know the value of your skills.
Salary negotiation usually won't be an issue until a job offer has been made. However, it is important that you know the standard pay range for the position you are seeking. Consider where you fit in that range based on your skills. When the time comes to discuss salary, present your case. You may say something like "With the education and experience I bring, I would expect to start at the higher end of that scale."

Remember, your skills and experience are the basis of your negotiations. The employer is not interested in your personal finances or the number of children you are trying to support. It’s not about what you "need", but about what your skills are worth and why.

Start with the most recent and work your way back. Include the name of the school, degree, major, date of graduation, and honors or academic accomplishments.

Work Experience: This is a summary of your work experience. List your most recent or current job first and work your way back. Your cover letter tells an employer a lot about you, good or bad. Think of it as a sales pitch. While there is no set format or template, here are some more tips for creating a letter that employers will read:

Keep it brief. Cover letters rarely need to be longer than one page. You can usually sum it up in about four paragraphs:

Development Engineer shall assist the multidiscipline team consisting of different expertise. This position will assist in progressing through conceptual screening and the preliminary engineering tasks. In that capacity, this position will assist in screening different development options, economic analyses and risk assessments that would eventually lead to a recommended option for development.

Qualification & Experience:

Cost Controller (CC) (2)

Main Responsibilities:
Perform cost control activities for a major, long term project in the Infrastructure Facilities Department. Such projects start from initial sanction (AFD) gate to Project Closeout. This includes monitoring all cost activities (AFEs Internal, AFEs, Purchase Orders, Expenditures, Value Of Work Performed, Capital Forecasts) assessing the ongoing and final financial status of the Project. Additionally, identify and report trends in the project financial performance using tools in PIMS. This position should track actual costs against the respective AFE s Internal and External, via the work breakdown structure set in PIMS and in SAP. This position is a key user for the PIMS cost control database.

Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Finance with min. five (5) years extensive experience with cost control duties on major capital projects, preferably regionally.
• Must demonstrate a strong command of project management principles and have attended minimum levels of project management training.
• Prior work experience in the oil and gas business, ideally major facilities related.

Sr. Naval / Marine Engineer (SN/ME) (1)

Sr. Electrical Engineer (SEE) (1)

Main Responsibilities:
Ensure the EPC contactor utilizes and applies Company Standards, Specifications and applicable international industry codes and standards such as API, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE during the detailed engineering and design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of all electrical equipment up to and including the 6,600 volt power generation station. Ensure the design, scheduling and installation of all electrical tie-ins are completed in a safe manner, while minimizing downtime of the Suban Phase 3 operations.

Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in the design, construction, commissioning and startup of electrical systems in gas processing facilities including sour gas operations. A strong background in plant and equipment control systems is also essential.
• Previous experience involving tie-in of expansion facilities to an existing operating gas plant with specific reference to planning and developing procedures as well as coordination and monitoring the execution of all electrical tie-in work.
• Extensive knowledge of international (primarily North American) equipment and installation standards and codes for gas processing facilities.
• Capable of working & living in a remote tropic environment in a construction camp

Planning Engineer (PE) (3)

Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for the implementation of Integrated project planning system within the Projects group using Microsoft Project or Primavera planning software packages. This position will ensure that high level schedules for each phase of the projects from preliminary engineering through to start-up are established fully and integrated with the respective Projects Group and departments. Prepare & obtain approval of the Projects Schedule. This will entail interfacing & collating information from respective project teams and departments. Provide project administrative function as needed with regards to monthly reports, MOM and establishment of various related project procedures.

Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Engineering with min. 8 years experience in the establishment of project schedules, planning and status reporting in oil and gas projects, from preliminary engineering through detail engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning.
• Customer Oriented and Organization coordinate with various disciplines to insure compatibility with all interface areas of the project.
• Computer Skill: computerized planning packages in particular, MS Project. Other software package such as Primavera and knowledge of other software packages are advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:
Responsible to manage and maintain an efficient document control management system for Projects. Responsible for Projects Department Project Cost Estimate: 1) Establishing the proper cost estimate method, deliverables, and format; 2) Coordinating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Organization Breakdown Structure (OBS); 3) Setting Project Cost Contingency and escalation; 4) Perform Cost Risk Analysis and set up Project cost scenario; For clarification, the incumbent does not perform project finance and accounting activities.

Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Engineering with Min. 8 (eight) years experience with high degree of experience with routine cost estimating methods such as quantity surveying, MTO summaries, unit costing, factoring, contingency allotment, total cost validation by benchmarking against historical data.
